Dear ECC Families, What an exciting week we had at the ECC. Of course, our high point was enjoying the wonderful performances from our students at our winter concert. Our program was a great success and we appreciate the hard work of our students and teachers. If you have not yet ordered your DVD of the performance, please stop by our office. Copies cost $15 and will be delivered in January. The PTO gift basket raffle was a great success. Thank you to all who donated items and bought tickets for the raffle. The next PTO activity is our Class Picture with Frosty. Our big frozen friend will be visiting the ECC next week to take photos, and each child will receive a print. There is still time to make a donation to the Leyden Township Needy Family Food and Toy Drive. Canned foods and new, unwrapped toys may be brought to the ECC. Pick up will occur December 18th. Our last full week of school of 2014 will be Friday, December 19th. The ECC will celebrate having earned over 100 classroom “Paws” for being “Safe, Friendly and Ready to Learn” will a hallway dance party. Our faculty star of the week is Dina Koutroumanes. This is Ms. Koutroumanes’s 2nd year as ECC Secretary. Ms. Koutroumanes loves working here in Elmwood Park and thinks our students and their families are the very best! Ms. Koutroumanes also loves to travel. Her most memorable travels have been hiking the Great Wall of China, visiting historic sites in Jerusalem and viewing glaciers and whale watching in Alaska. Ms. Koutroumanes enjoys theater and ballet performances. Our Kindergarten Stars of the Week are –Joshua Svejcar, Joseph Scapini, Ethan Cortes, Dominic Zivjinovic, Oliver Stus, Jayden Betancourt and Ixmael Alarcon. Our PreK Stars of the Week are –Carolina Mata, Joey Jarosz, Dominic Ruggio, Alexander Ptak, Abigail Comparan Adrian Reyes, and Matthew McGinnis.

Estimadas Familias del Centro ECC, ¡Qué semana tan emocionante hemos tenido en el Centro ECC! Por supuesto, nuestro punto culminante fue el poder disfrutar de la maravillosa actuación de nuestros estudiantes en nuestro Consierto de Invierno. Nuestro programa fue un gran éxito y apreciamos el duro trabajo de nuestros estudiantes y maestras. Si es que usted todavía no ha ordenado su DVD de la presentación del concierto, favor de pasar por la oficina. El precio de las copias es de $15 y se estarán entregando durante mes de enero. Las Canastas para la rifa de la PTO fueron todo un éxito. Muchísimas gracias a todos ustedes los que donaron artículos y los que compraron boletos para la rifa. La próxima actividad de la PTO será nuestra foto de la clase con El Señor de Las Nieves. Nuestro gran amigo El Señor de las Nieves estará visitando nuestro Centro ECC la semana que viene, para tomarse fotos con los estudiantes y cada estudiante recibirá una copia. Todavía hay tiempo para hacer una donación para la recaudación de alimentos y juguetes del Pueblito de Leyden, para familias necesitadas. Alimentos enlatados y juguetes nuevos sin envolver pueden traerse al Centro ECC. Estos se recogerán el 18 de diciembre. Nuestra última semana completa del 2014 será el viernes 19 de diciembre. El Centro ECC estará celebrando el haber completado más de 100 “Paws” de los salones de clases par haber sido “Seguros, Amigables y Listos para Aprender”, con una fiesta de baile en los pasillos. Nuestro personal Estrella de la Semana es la Señora Dina Koutroumanes. Este es el segundo año de la Señora Ms. Koutroumanes de ser la secretaria del Centro ECC. ! A la Señora Koutroumanes le encanta trabajar aquí en Elmwood Park y siente que nuestros estudiantes y sus familias son lo mejor! A la Señora Koutroumanes también le encanta viajar. Los viajes más memorables para ella ha sido el trepar por la Gran Muralla de China, visitar lugares históricos en Jerusalén y ver los glaciares y las ballenas de Alaska. La Señora Koutroumanes disfruta de ver presentaciones teatrales y de valet. Drodzy rodzice, Mijajcy tydzien w ECC byl bardzo ekscytujacy. Oczywiscie, najjasniejszym punktem tygodnia byly cudowne wystepy naszych uczniow w czasie koncertu zimowego. Koncert byl wielkiem sukcesem. Dziekujemy bardzo za ciezka prace wszystkich wystepujacych i ich wychowawcow. Jesli nie zlozyli jeszcze Panstwo zamowienia na nagranie DVD z koncertu, nadal mozna to zrobic w biurze szkoly. Koszt plyty to $15. Nagrania beda do odebrania w styczniu. Loteria fantowa koordynowana przez nasze PTO rowniez zakonczyla sie powodzeniem. Dziekujemy wszystkim rodzinom, ktore podarowaly prezenty, czy zakupily losy. Nastpnym wydarzeniem organizowanym przez ta organizacje beda zdjecia z balwankiem Frosty. Nasz duzy „mrozny” przyjaciel odwiedzi ECC w nastepnym tygodniu i zrobi zdjecie z kazdym naszym uczniem. Nadal istnieje mozliwosc wziecia udzialu w akcji charytatywnej organizowanej przez Leyden Township Needy Family Food and Toy Drive. Zbierane sa produkty zywnosciowe (puszki) i nowe, nieopakowane zabawki. Nalezy je dostarczyc do ECC do 18 grudnia. Ostatnim, pelny tydzien zajec przed swietami zakonczy sie w piatek, 19 grudnia. ECC celebrowalo bedzie w tym dniu rowniez zebranie 100 „lapek” (Paws) za dobre zachowanie, czyli bycie bezpiecznym, przyjacielskim i gotowym do nauki. Planujemy zorganizowanie krotkiej potancowki na korytarzu! Gwiazda tygodnia wsrod pracownikow jest nasza pani sekretarka, pani Dina Koutroumanes. Ten rok jest drugim rokiem pracy pani Koutroumanes. Bardzo podoba jej sie praca w Elmwood Park, a jej zdaniem, rodziny i uczniowie z naszej szkoly sa najlepsze! Pani Koutroumanes uwielbia podroze. Zawsze pamietac bedzie wspinaczke po Murze Chimskim, zwiedzanie Jeruzalem, czy ogladanie lodowcow i wielorybow na Alasce. Pani Koutroumanes chetnie oglada tez przedstawienia teatralne ibalet.
