~ REFLECTION ~

In a way, Easter Time for the Church is like springtime for the world, and for those of us who live in the northern hemisphere, it is wonderful that they coincide. The world around us celebrates new life: trees and plants are budding, animals have come out of hibernation, the sun is out longer. As Christians, we also celebrate new life: Jesus is risen, the readings recount the infancy of the early church, we have new life in the Lord by our baptism. Let us celebrate this new life as we continue celebrating this holy season.

~ REFLEXION ~

En cierto sentido, el tiempo pascual es para la Iglesia lo que la primavera es para el mundo; y para aquellos de nosotros que vivimos en el hemisferio norte, es maravilloso que esos dos tiempos coincidan. El mundo a nuestro alrededor celebra una vida nueva: los árboles y las plantas germinan, los animales salen de su hibernación y el sol se queda más tiempo afuera. Como cristianos, también nosotros celebramos una vida nueva: Jesús ha resucitado, las lecturas relatan la infancia de la Iglesia primitiva, y por nuestro bautismo tenemos una vida nueva en el Señor. Celebremos esta vida nueva a medida que vamos celebrando este tiempo santo.
