Finca el Encinal Crianza Red Wine Ribera del Duero Wine Appellation

A modern winery founded in 2000 in Quintana del Pidio, Burgos, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero appellation. The estate comprises 62 Ha. of vineyard planted primarily with Tempranilo red grapes. The region's continental climate ensures long, cold winters and short, hot summers, which help ripen the fruit whilst keeping the freshness in the wines made from it. Fermentation is traditional “bordelais” style in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and the ageing is carried out in American and French oak barrels. Grape varieties: 100 %Tempranillo Tasting notes: Bright, dark cherry red colour. Complex bouquet of red and black berry fruits, On tasting the black cherry comes through in balance with fine oak character, spicy, with good weight of fruit. An elegant wine with good backbone and well rounded tannins in balance with fine acidity, giving it a long, persistent and satisftying finish. Food Paring: Meats, game and poultry, blue cheeses and rice dishes. Alcohol content: 14% by vol Serving temperature: 16º/18ºC
