Finca El Encinal Roble Red Wine Ribera del Duero Wine Appellation

A modern winery founded in 2000 in Quintana del Pidio, Burgos, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero appellation. The estate comprises 62 Ha. of vineyard planted primarily with Tempranilo red grapes. The region's continental climate ensures long, cold winters and short, hot summers, which help ripen the fruit whilst keeping the freshness in the wines made from it. Fermentation is traditional “bordelais” style in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and the ageing is carried out in American and French oak barrels. Grape varieties: 100 %Tempranillo Tasting notes: Bright, cherry red colour. Fruity bouquet of red berry fruits with smoky hints from the oak. On tasting the red cherry comes through on a background of vanilla and a touch of black pepper from the oak. Round tannins, easy to drink with good length. Food paring: meats, cheeses and pasta dishes. Alcohol content: 14% By vol Serving temperature: 16ºC
