Teacher & School Support Staff Appreciation Celebrations Teachers and all support staff at Madison are real life superheroes. They educate, innovate, encourage and support. F IRST A ID AT H OME & V ISION C ARE CLASS Personnel from Huntington Hospital will be teaching this class in Spanish and the attendees will learn: The importance of health vision for school success; signs that your child may have vision problems; Accident prevention; when to call 911 vs urgent care or ER; Fever—what does it mean ; and preparing a first aid kit. 5th grade Promotion Day Parents of 5th grade students: the Promotion ceremony will be on Wednesday, May 31st at 9:00 am at the auditorium. As every year, we will ask to please do not bring balloon arrangements or any other kind of big arrangement to celebrate your student. Be considerate of all of the attendees and leave such arrangements in your car or at home. Please avoid us to ask you to leave your arrangements in your car. We would like to have a nice event where everybody can see the front of the auditorium. Same with strollers. Please inform your invitees as well.

Department of Public Social Services at Madison The DPSS Outreach Worker will be at the Healthy Start Family Center on May 8 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm & May 22 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, as the last visits for this school year. They will return on the month of August.

Día de promoción de 5 grado Padres de estudiantes del grado 5: La Ceremonia de Promoción será el miércoles, 31 de mayo a las 9:00 am en el auditorio de la escuela. Como cada ano, les pedimos que por favor no traigan arreglos de globos u otro tipo de arreglo grande para celebrar a sus estudiantes. Sea considerado con el resto de los asistentes al evento y dejen dichos arreglos en su carro o en casa. Por favor evítenos tener que pedirles que se devuelvan a dejar sus arreglos en sus carros.
