Saturday, May 11, 2019 In order to qualify for Grad Nite, you must be a Venice High Graduating Senior for the class of 2019, free of any outstanding debts to the school or PTSA. Tickets prices are: $170 August 1, 2018 – January 31, 2019 $180 February 1-28, 2019 $190 March 1-10, 2019 No Refunds Payment online or with CASH in person. There are a limited number of tickets, so get yours early. Registration will be online only at https://vhs-senior-disney-grad-nite-2019.cheddarup.com. Cash payments will be accepted in person on dates to be announced. Do not leave cash in the PTSA Mailbox. Payment plans are available online now! 2019 Dear Graduating Class of 2019 Parents: Your son/daughter will be participating in Grad Night at Disney’s California Adventure, which is a privately sponsored field trip. It is scheduled for May 11th-12th, 2019 and is hosted by the Venice High School PTSA. Please be advised that this field trip is not a school-sponsored event. Your son/daughter’s participation in such a trip is a private matter between your family and Venice High PTSA. Any chaperones, who provide supervision for minors on this trip, do so as private citizens and are in no way authorized to perform such supervision as school district employees. Neither Venice High School nor LAUSD is responsible for the education, supervision, or welfare of students during this trip and therefore, neither will compensate insure or indemnify you or your son/daughter for any incident, loss of property, illness or injury that may occur during your trip. Si participa en este paseo usted estará actuando por cuenta propia. Los estudiantes que estén ausentes durante las horas regulares e clases, recibirán una ausencia no justificada por el día o los días que pierdan. Cualquier adulto que participe en este paseo será individualmente responsable de lo que suceda. Venice PTSA Policies and Procedures 1. All attendees must join the Grad Nite 2019 Remind group at https://www.remind.com/join @gf86ba. 2. Download the Disneyland App on your phone. You will be adding your ticket to the app and it can be used to make FASTPASSES (using Disney MaxPass for an additional $10). 3. Bus assignments will be given upon completion of payment and permission forms. Friends wanting to sit on the same bus, should indicate that on the registration form. There is NO CHANGING BUS ASSIGMENTS. 4. Once Seniors are checked in by chaperones and board the bus, they may not return to cars or campus. 5. Only Graduating Seniors are eligible for admission to Grad Nite. 6. Once the bus pulls away from the curb, if you are not on that bus you will not attend Grad Nite. You will not receive a refund. If there are students that have purchased a ticket and did not check in, once the bus pulls away, their parents and the Venice High Administration will be notified that they are not attending Grad Nite. 7. All school rules regarding the administration of medication apply. If your student needs medication, please send the medication and a signed note. If your student has medication that they need to carry on them, please send a signed note. If your student has any food allergies that could pose a danger, please send a note. Medication must be given to chaperones for entry and then returned once inside the park. 8. Dress Code; Closed toed shoes, all undergarments must be covered at all times. Make sure to bring a jacket it will get cold once the sun goes down. Venice High dress code applies. Students must wear provided Grad Nite T-Shirt. 9. Grad Nite strives to provide graduating seniors with a safe and sober environment with which to celebrate. Therefore we must enforce the following rules: Any graduate arriving under the influence or, or in possession of, drugs or alcohol will be detained and his/her parent or guardian will be called. If a parent or guardian is not available the police will be called. This is a Non-Smoking event. 10. Graduates are required to stay the entire night. California Adventure will be closing their doors at 2:00 am. It is the responsibility of the students to make it back to the buses no later than 2:30 am. There will be a roll call and any missing student will receive one phone call, if graduate does not answer, a parent or guardian will be phoned. 11. If a student does not show up to the bus at the end of Grad Nite it will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian to drive to Anaheim to retrieve the student. 12. Parents must make arrangements for students to be picked up from the front of the school when it arrives. Generally, between 3:00 and 3:15 am. Parents MUST be on time. THE RULES: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR STUDENT ID TO BOARD BUSES! Must wear provided Grad Nite T-shirt No alcoholic beverages of any kind No drugs of any kind No tobacco of any kind No weapons of any kind No lighters or matches No selfie-sticks No Sharpies or markers No masks or costumes of any kind Bring money for food- meals are not provided No lewd or obscene words or artwork on ALL Bags and backpacks must be smaller than backpacks 8½”x 11” No outside food or drink (empty water No over the counter medicines (must be given bottles are okay) to a chaperone, for entry, then returned) If you have prescription medicine, bring a note from your parent and keep it with the medicine. (All medicine must be given to chaperone for entry into the park, then returned) Late students run the risk of not going. There are no refunds. SECURITY AT DISNEYLAND-At the entrance to California Adventure, there will be law enforcement officials and dogs screening every student and chaperone. They have to right to deny entrance to anyone, for any reason. If you are caught with the above items, appropriate action will be taken by security. If your clothing has any marijuana residue or smell on them, the dogs WILL detect it and you will be detained for further inspection. UPON ARRIVAL-When we arrive in Anaheim, you will be handed your Disney Ticket. Take a picture of it with your phone and add it to the Disneyland app. Treat it like cash, and keep it in a safe place. Once you have passed security and have wristbands, you are free to go to either Disneyland or California Adventure, however, at 8:30 pm, you must be in California Adventure. California Adventure gates lock Seniors in at 9:00pm. If you are late you will not get in. END OF GRAD NITE-2:00 am, California Adventure closes. You are to board the trams to the parking lot, find the same number bus that you arrived on (no switching buses), check in with your chaperone and board the bus. You must have your ID to board the bus. Please make sure to be back at the buses no later than 2:30 am. The trams will be crowded, plan accordingly. The buses will leave Disneyland at 2:30 am. If you are late, the buses will leave without you and a parent will have to come and pick you up from Anaheim. If you encounter a problem phone the event chair and let them her know. LOST TICKETS- Phone a chaperone and tell them. They can help you.
