haul, service providers) is a promising sector that has shown a dynamic development over the last decades.

Between 2009 and 2014, the annual turnover of the Austrian aeronautics industry increased from about EUR 1.6 billion to EUR 2.2 billion. This means a growth in sales of 40% in five years (cumulated).
75% of the Austrian companies are SMEs. Overall around 9200 people are employed in the Austrian aeronautics industry, 13% of which work in research and development.
