Teen Travel Camp Hershey Park- Overnight Trip Information Guide August 7 – August 8

Itinerary Tuesday, August           

7th:

The bus will be departing the Princeton Recreation Department (380 Witherspoon Street) at 9:00AM on Tuesday, August 7th. Campers may arrive as early as 8:30 AM. 11:30/11:45: Arrive at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction: 101 Chocolate World Way Hershey, PA 17033 11:45 – 12: 45: Create Your Own Candy Bar attraction! 1:00-1:30: Hershey’s Chocolate Tour! 1:30: Depart Hersheys Chocolate World Attractions to Hershey Lodge: 325 University Dr, Hershey, PA 17033 2:00-4:30: Enjoy time at Hershey’s Waterworks Indoor Pool Complex! 4:30: Campers will receive keys for their rooms and have time to shower and get ready for the night! 6:00pm: Depart Hershey Lodge to Hershey Park (100 Hersheypark Dr, Hershey, PA 17033) 6:30-9:30pm: Enjoy time at Hershey Park at night! 9:30: Depart Hershey Park to Hershey Lodge 10:00pm: Lights out!

Wednesday, August 8th:     

8:30am: Breakfast! Breakfast bars and cereal options will be given to the campers. 9:00am: Depart Hershey Lodge to Hershey Park (100 Hersheypark Dr, Hershey, PA 17033) 9:30am-2:30pm: Enjoy time at Hershey Park! 2:30pm: Depart Hershey Park to Princeton Recreation Department (380 Witherspoon Street) 5:30pm: Return to Princeton Recreation Department for dismissal

Food/meals Meals: 

Tuesday August 7: Campers may bring nonperishable snacks and a plenty of water for the the bus ride to and from Hershey Park. Counselors will have snacks and cases of water for campers to have on the bus, as well. Lunch will not be provided on Tuesday, August 7th. Campers can either bring their own lunch, or purchase lunch from the food court at Hershey’s Chocolate World. On Tuesday, August 7th, each camper will receive $10.00 before entering Hershey Park to buy dinner. Hershey Park has a wide variety of food options. Campers are more than welcome to bring money and purchase more food if they want to.



Wednesday August 8: Counselors will bring cereal options to each campers room in the morning for breakfast. Campers can purchase lunch or snacks at Hershey Park. Campers may bring nonperishable snacks to leave on the bus for the ride home.

What to bring/wear 

     

1 bag (such as a drawstring bag or backpack) for the bus with your personal belongings (i.e. lunch money, packed lunch, wallet, snacks for the bus, etc.) This bag will be able to come onto the bus with you. *IMPORTANT: Please wear or bring your bathing suit and towel on the bus. Once we arrive to the Hershey Lodge, we will be going to the indoor pool complex. The hotel rooms may not be ready yet, so please have the items you will need for the pool with you on the bus! At least 1 set of casual clothes; sneakers/comfortable shoes; sandals/flip flops for the pool! Make sure to bring your bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and plenty of water for the trip! Overnight items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Campers may bring spending money for food/souvenirs. Anything purchased should be able to fit in your bags! There is a 2-bag limit. You are allowed to bring 1 duffel bag or suitcase and 1 backpack/drawstring bag.

Comidas Comidas: • Martes, 7 de agosto: Los ninos podran traer meriendas y agua para el viaje en autobús hacia y desde Hershey Park. Los consejeros también tendrán opciones de meriendas y cajas de agua para los ninos en el autobús. No habrá almuerzo para darles a los niños el martes, 7 de agosto. Los ninos podran traer su propio almuerzo o comprarlo en Hershey's Chocolate World. El martes, 7 de agosto, cada niño recibirá $10.00 antes de entrar a Hershey Park para comprar su cena. Hershey Park tiene variedades de comida. Los niños son más que bienvenidos a traer dinero y comprar más comida. • Miercoles, 9 de agosto: Los consejeros traerán opciones de cereal a cada habitación de los ninos en la mañana para el desayuno. Los niños podran comprar almuerzo o meriendas en Hershey Park. Los niños podran traer meriendas para dejar en el autobús para el viaje a casa.

Que tiene que llevar  

    

Una bolsa (como una mochila) para el autobús con sus pertenencias personales (es decir, dinero para el almuerzo, almuerzo para llevar, billetera, meriendas para el autobús, etc.). Esta bolsa podrá ir en el autobús con su hijo/hija. *IMPORTANTE: Por favor que se pongan o traigan su traje de baño y toalla en el autobús. Cuando llegan a Hershey Lodge, iran a la piscina que esta adentro. Es posible que las habitaciones del hotel aún no estén listas. Que tengan sus niños los artículos necesarios para la piscina en el autobús. Por lo menos una ropa casual; zapatillas de deporte / zapatos cómodos; sandalias / chanclas para la piscina! ¡Asegúrese de traer su traje de baño, toalla, protector solar y mucha agua para el viaje! Artículos de la noche a la mañana: cepillo de dientes, pasta de dientes, desodorante, etc. Los niños podran traer dinero para comprar comida / recuerdos. ¡Todo lo que compran debe de caber en sus bolsas! Hay un límite de 2 bolsas. Se les permitirá traer una valija pequeña y una mochila escolar.
