To: Parents of Elementary School students From: Kristi Bufkin Re: Student drop off/pick up Date: August 17, 2018

The safety of our students is very important to the faculty and staff at Munday Elementary school. To help keep our children safe there are drop off and pick up procedures that must be practiced.  Please refer to the drop off and Pick up Map (attached)  There will be NO drop off in the mornings or pick up in the afternoons in front of the elementary school. This means neither the parking lot nor the street. It is very dangerous for students to cross between parked cars.  All students may be dropped off on the east side of the building as they will enter the gym holding area.  Please enter the east parking lot from the north and leave through the south exit.  All parent/guardians picking up their children from school must use either the west or east drive thru pick up area. o Students in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade must be picked up on the west side of the building. Make sure you park along the street following the flow of traffic and continue traveling north. Do not block the bus drop off area in the mornings. o Students in second through sixth grades must be picked up on the east side of the building and continue traveling south.  Students are not allowed to walk across traffic. If you are not in the circle drive, you must walk over to pick up your child(ren). It is preferred that all parents use the drive thru area.  No parking is allowed on the inside curb of the east parking lot.  Sixth grade students will attend band first period. They will be dropped off at the high school band hall each day.  We have monitors in place beginning at 7:30AM therefore students should NOT be dropped off any earlier than 7:30AM. The first bell rings at 7:55AM and the tardy bells rings at 8:00AM. The practices must be enforced for the safety and well-being of our students. Please follow these policies. If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 422-4321 ext. 3. Sincerely,

3. Sinceramente,
