Programm des Workshops „Sichere Gesellschaften: unlocking innovation – neuartige Sicherheitslösungen für sich wandelnde Bedrohungslagen“ Programme of the Workshop „Secure Societies: unlocking innovation – novel security solutions for changing threats”

8/9 November 2016 at Comics Art Museum, Rue des Sables 20, 1000 Brussels DE-EN Interpretation will be offered!

Scope: In January 2014 the 8th European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation "Horizon 2020" was launched. In the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge "Secure Societies" a total of 1.7 billion EUR is being provided for funding of European civil security research from 2014 to 2020. As a Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, "Horizon 2020" is aiming to increasingly enable innovation measures in the area of European security research. The workshop of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is intended to bring together insights and experiences gained with innovation and closeto-market instruments as well as to generate important impulses and ideas for the mid- and long-term advancement of the European civil security research programme. In particular, we will take a look at the question, on how industry can use European collaborative research projects to foster their innovation output and to tap into new markets. The event is targeted at representatives of companies, institutes and universities with responsibility for research and development as well as at public and private-sector end-users.
