THEOLOGY AND RELIGION The editorial department for theology and religion offers a wide range of titles that illuminate themes in a variety of fields of study, encompassing both traditional and innovative perspectives – from classical Biblical scholarship and church history to the philosophy of religion and critical religious studies. In addition to our core strengths – critical editions, prominent book series, and commentaries in Christian theology and philosophy of religion – we continue to steadily expand our portfolio. Thus, along with our Jewish Studies program, Islamic studies and Asian religions are coming more into focus. New media in the context of theology and religious studies, such as Digital Humanities, are also a growing area for us. Moreover, we continue to pursue innovative approaches and new fields, such as secularism research. Altogether, we offer an exciting interdisciplinary and, above all, international program.
