Summary of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Venezuela 2009 Organizers of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Venezuela consider the week a great success. Between 16-22 November 2009, 19 partners organized 53 events. The Organization ACCEDE, host and coordinator of the week in Venezuela, invited a large group of partners joining and 19 organizations, companies, universities and institutions accepted the invitation to the week. Together with their collaborators, the coalitions connect over 6.000 young entrepreneurs in Barquisimeto, Caracas y Mérida. The events of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Venezuela included conferences, meetings with businesspersons, workshops, Film Forums, Talks. In our activities, we invite young people up to the age of 30 to be entrepreneurial and creative and to show them that they should prepare themselves before turning their ideas into practice, also when founding their own companies. As a conclusion of our events organized during “the Week” resulted in a number of initiatives oriented, NGOs, companies, entrepreneurs, teacher’s universities and businesspersons, concerning the creation of an ecosystem in Venezuela, which would facilitate the entrepreneurial spirit of young people, perhaps, this is the beginning of a national movement that promotes entrepreneurship in our country. At present, we are making our overall assessment in order to identify opportunities for improvement for next year. The Global Entrepreneurship Week in Venezuela attracted the attention of the media, some of which broadcast special programs devoted to this topic.
