SJK Masses Moving as of June 18

Cambio de Misas de SJK a par!r del 18 de junio

As I write this bulle!n column, I had hoped for us to have a li"le more !me celebra!ng Masses at SJK Church.

Mientras escribo esta columna del bole&n, esperaba que tuviéramos un poco más de !empo para celebrar Misas en la Iglesia SJK.

Unfortunately, the city of Milwaukee gave us no no!ce to the sewer line repairs that are now going on. Those a"ending Mass at SJK this weekend will no!ce the street construc!on in front of SJK along Dakota. A#er inquiring, I am told that during the week of June 18 Dakota Street will be closed from 9th place to 11th Street. We are not sure how long these repairs will last. Therefore, I am making the decision to move the regularly schedule Masses now. The 5 p.m. Saturday Spanish Mass will be at St. Helen Church star!ng June 23.

Desafortunadamente, la ciudad de Milwaukee no nos dió aviso de las reparaciones de la línea de alcantarillado que están en marcha. Aquellos que asistan a misa en SJK este fin de semana notarán la construcción frente a SJK en la calle Dakota. Después de preguntar, me informaron que durante la semana del 18 de junio, la calle Dakota estará cerrada desde 9 Place hasta la Calle 11. No estamos seguros de cuánto durarán estas reparaciones. The 8:30 a.m. English Mass will be at St. Alexander star!ng June 24.

Beginning June 18 the Wednesday Morning 8 a.m. Mass will be at St. Helen’s, The Friday Morning 8:00 a.m. Mass will be at St. Alexander.

The Monday Evening Adora!on and Benedic!on will be at St. Alexander.

All other parish ac!vi!es at the SJK campus will remain as scheduled unless the various parish groups request rescheduling. I advise all parishioners to use cau!on as they travel around the construc!on area.

This is not the final goodbye to St. John Kanty Church. We will be returning a#er the street construc!on is completed, at least for the formal decommissioning and final liturgy. Thank you for your understanding. This road construc!on was a surprise to me, but I feel its important that we take this step now for the safety of all and convenience of access to our Mass schedule.
