OUTREACH MINISTRY AT QUEEN OF PEACE PARISH

Baptisms: 6//9/18

Yareli Moreno Escobar Max Emiliano Algen

The Parish Community Life Committee members wish to thank all of the beautiful people who contributed in any way to the celebration of Father Karnik's 60th Ordination Anniversary celebration! Some of you brought goodies to eat...beautiful cakes, jello salads, and cookies. Others helped set up Scallon Hall for the occasion or worked with us in the kitchen, cleared tables, and washed dishes. And many added to the joy of the occasion by coming to dine with Father George and congratulate him. Whatever your part of this blessed event was, we give you our most sincere thanks, and may God continue to bless all of you and our beloved Queen of Peace church!

Do you know anyone from Queen of Peace who is hospitalized, homebound, or in a care facility? Please notify the church office at 226-3655 so an Eucharistic minister can visit them and provide communion. It is our goal to give comfort and spiritual support to everyone. We need your help to do this by continually updating the office of parishioners who are unable to attend Mass. Thank you. Special Note: There is interest in determining if there is a need for the parish to be involved in assisting caregivers serving family members with dementia or other disabling care needs. If you are in need, or know of parishioners that are in such need, please contact or text Sally Kelly (319) 429-5858.

For the teens there are powerful talks and prayer experiences, small group discussions, games, and fellowship. When: Both Programs will be at St. Edward School High School (Grades 7-12) July 22nd-26th 7pm-9:15pm.
