Tough conditions The constraints for the automotive industry have tightened further. The market is currently characterised by decreasing or stagnating sales in Western Europe and North America.

Memo: Triad = Western Europe + USA/Canada + Japan
The figure illustrates that growth occurs in the car sectors of the emerging markets, e. g. China, Russia, India and Brazil. But they cannot compensate the weakness in the triad markets. The industry faces several challenges. Manufacturers and suppliers invest more and more in the development of environmentally friendly technologies to meet the increased requirements in terms of climate protection. At the same time, the companies also have to deal with increasing energy and raw material costs. The margins of manufacturers in the volume and premium segment will be under pressure in the near future. What is required of the industry now is positioning and structuring to remain successful in the future. At the 16th Handelsblatt Annual Conference, you will have the opportunity for discus sions with decision makers. The following issues are examples of what will be covered: Global car industry – where are growth potentials? Go east – which strategic options can be used how? Political constraints – how will further plans influence your business? Value-added processes – how can efficiency and productivity be optimised? Raw material costs and foreign exchange risks – what are the developments you have to be prepared for? The annual conference with top-class specialists is an excellent information and networking platform where you can discuss the most important aspects and subjects of the industry within two days. Get a competitive advantage in knowledge for yourself and your company. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Frankfurt!
Who will you meet at this conference? The event addresses car manufacturers, suppliers and service providers in the industry as well as banks, consultants and researchers working in this sector. Management boards, managers and executives in the fields of corporate planning and com munication, marketing, sales and finance will meet at this well-established meeting point of the industry.
