Upright Frost Free Freezers Frozen Defrost Drain

CUSTOMER COMPLAINT: Water freezes on the bottom of the freezer liner and may leak out the door.

CAUSE: Depending on the ambient temperature, there may not be enough defrost heat to keep the water in the defrost drain tube from freezing.

CORRECTION: This repair applies to all frost free upright models with a defrost drain tube exiting the cabinet above the compressor. Make sure the defrost drain tube is clear of obstructions and restrictions. Replace the drain tube if it is permanently twisted or blocked. If the drain tube is clear, a heat sink is available to be inserted into the defrost drain tube. This heat sink draws heat from the water in the drain trap and keeps the defrost drain tube open. Order and install heat sink part number 8201771. Follow the instructions completely.

Congeladores verticales sin escarcha Desagüe de descongelamiento congelado QUEJA DEL CLIENTE: El agua se congela en el fondo del revestimiento interno del congelador y puede fugarse a través de la puerta.

CAUSA: Según la temperatura ambiente, es posible que no haya suficiente calor para descongelar y evitar que el agua en el tubo de desagüe de descongelación se congele.

CORRECCIÓN: Esta reparación se aplica a todos los modelos verticales sin escarcha que cuentan con un tubo de desagüe de descongelación que sale del gabinete encima del compresor. Asegúrese de que el tubo de desagüe de descongelación esté libre de obstrucciones y restricciones. Reemplace el tubo de desagüe si está doblado o bloqueado de modo permanente. Si el tubo de desagüe no tiene obstrucciones, hay disponible un disipador de calor para insertarlo en el tubo de desagüe de descongelación. Este disipador de calor utiliza el calor del agua en el sifón de desagüe y mantiene abierto el tubo de desagüe de descongelación. Pida e instale el disipador de calor pieza número 8201771. Siga todas las instrucciones.
