Parents have opportunity to register students online for 2015-16 year Parents of students who were enrolled in La Porte ISD during the 2014-15 school year will have the opportunity to register their child online for the 2015-16 year. By registering online, parents will save time and have fewer forms to complete at the start of the school year. To register online, parents must first be signed up for Home Access Center, a component of the district’s eSchool student software system. (Please see below for information on signing up for Home Access Center.) Parents can log in to Home Access Center to verify contact information such as address and phone numbers as well as complete five other back-to-school forms. Online registration is available now for parents who would like to complete this process prior to the start of school. On the first day of school, parents will receive a letter describing the online registration process. Attached to the letter will be a form that should be signed and returned with the student if the parent has completed the online registration process. During elementary campus Meet the Teacher Nights, which are scheduled for Aug. 20, school staff members will be available in computer labs to help parents sign up for Home Access Center and register their child online. Secondary campuses will also help parents with Home Access Center registration and online enrollment during back-to-school events. Parents who do not wish to register their child online will receive an enrollment packet as they have in past years. All parents will receive several forms that are not included in the online registration process. For more information, contact your child’s school.

How to Sign Up for Home Access Center Forms are available in the main offices of each school or on the La Porte ISD website, www.lpisd.org, on the Parent Portal home page under “Home Access Center Information.” Complete the form and take it to the main office of your child’s school. To ensure the security of your child’s records, the staff member will ask to see your driver’s license or photo ID. The school staff member will input your information and provide you with your log-in ID and password. If you have more than one child, please let the staff member know; you will only need to sign up at one campus. If you signed up with Home Access Center in the past, you do not need to do so again. You will use your same password to access the system this year. If you need help with your log-in or password, please contact Shelli McIntosh in the La Porte ISD Business Office, 281-604-7046. After you receive your log-in ID and password, you will be able to log into the Home Access Center from the Parent Portal of the LPISD website, www. lpisd. org. By logging into Home Access Center, you can register your child online for the 2015-16 school year as well as access important information about his or her grades, assignments, attendance and more during the upcoming school year.
