Eine gewichtige Vernderung stellte sich mit der Erweiterung der zum Teil auch erst neu entstehenden politischen --ffentlichkeit und damit einhergehend auch mit einer neuartigen politischen Kultur ein. Was waren die Merkmale und die Trger dieser --ffentlichkeit und wie uerte sich dies im politischen Geschehen? Ein besonderer Gradmesser fr die Vernderungen in der politischen Kultur Frankreichs in den ersten Jahren nach 1789 findet sich in den politischen Klubs. Insbesondere gilt dies fr den sogenannten Jakobinerklub, dessen Anhnger das politische Geschehen Frankreichs wesentlich beeinflussten. Es soll nachvollzogen werden, wie der Jakobinische Klub frhzeitig Protagonisten und Profiteure der Revolution stellte, diese Errungenschaften jedoch nicht bewahren konnte und letztlich zum Namensgeber fr die Diktatur und den Grand Terreur 1793 und 1794 avancierte.
