Aluminium weist innerhalb der Metalle eine der höchsten IR-Reflexion auf. Daraus hergestellte Aluminiumpigmente können in Lacken, z. B. in Wandfarben, eingesetzt werden und zeigen nach der Applikation – je nach gewünschter Anwendung – eine isolierende und wärmedämmende Wirkung. Sie bewirken andererseits, dass sich Gebäude weniger stark aufgeheizen.
Aluminium exhibits one of the highest IR-reflection characteristics amongst all known metals. Aluminium pigments can be used in lacquers, e. g. in wall paints, and show after their application and depending on the intended purpose either a heat-insulating or a heat-reducing effect. They can also cause building spaces to heat up considerably less.

ECKART has developed a pigment and pigment concentrate under the name of IReflex 5000 White that guarantee a maximum of IRreflection. With IReflex 5000 White, reflection values of more than 50 percent can be guaranteed for the entire MIR-area for interior wall paints with an insulating effect. Thus ECKART offers a costefficient contribution for a creative energy management.

By using IReflex 5000 White in wall paints reflectance values of up to 50 % in a medium IR range can be achieved which makes a contribution to energy saving. Moreover, such paints provide a high degree of thermal comfort.

Je nach Untergrund, Pigmentierungshöhe und Pigmentorientierung lassen sich Reflexionswerte von bis zu 50 % realisieren. Im Vergleich dazu erzielen weiße Innenwandfarben einen maximalen Reflektionswert von 5 % im mittleren IR-Bereich, d. h. 95 % der Wärmeenergie werden in diesem Fall von der Wand absorbiert.

Depending on the surface, the pigmentation level and the pigment orientation, reflection values of up to 50 % can be realized. In comparison, white interior wall paints normally show an IR-reflectance value of a maximum 5 % in a mid-IR range, i. e. 95 % of the heat energy is absorbed by the wall.
