Kuba Mietwagenrundreisen Annahme und Abgabe des Mietwagens: Die Annahme des Mietwagens erfolgt in der Regel direkt in Ihrem Hotel. Sollten Sie ein Hotel in der Altstadt von Havanna gebucht haben (Fußgängerzone), erfolgt die Annahme am Terminal de Cruceros. Hierzu suchen Sie bitte zunächst die Mietwagenstation der Firma CUBACAR auf. An der Station legen Sie dann bitte den Voucher vor, den Sie mit Ihren Reiseunterlagen erhalten haben. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie lediglich eine Mietwagenkategorie gebucht haben. Ein bestimmter Wagentyp kann im Voraus nicht bestätigt werden, da die Autos vor Ort je nach Verfügbarkeit vergeben werden. Das im Tank befindliche Benzin bei Annahme des Mietwagens muss sofort bezahlt werden. Alle wichtigen Informationen für die Abgabe des Wagens erhalten Sie bei der Annahme. Sie sind nicht verpflichtet, den Mietwagen vollgetankt abzugeben. Die Kosten für das bei Abgabe im Tank befindliche Benzin werden nicht erstattet Bei Annahme und Abgabe des Fahrzeuges an einem internationalen Flughafen Kubas, erheben die Mietwagenfirmen eine einmalige Gebühr in Höhe von jeweils 20 CUC, die vor Ort zu zahlen ist.

Versicherung & Kaution: Kuba ist eines der sichersten Länder Lateinamerikas und eignet sich hervorragend für individuelles Reisen mit dem Mietwagen. Achten Sie dennoch besonders in Großstädten auf Ihr Gepäck und lassen Sie keine Wertsachen im Mietwagen liegen. Langfinger gibt es überall auf der Welt! Eine Versicherung des Mietwagens muss grundsätzlich vor Ort abgeschlossen und in CUC in bar oder per Kreditkarte bezahlt werden. Die Vollkaskoversicherung kostet zwischen 15 CUC (Economico und Medio) und 20 CUC (Medio Alto) pro Tag extra und wird vor Ort entrichtet. Ebenso muss vor Ort eine Kaution von 250 CUC (Kategorie Economico und Medio), 500 CUC (Kategorie Medio Alto) in bar oder per Kreditkarte hinterlegt werden.

INFORMATIONSBLATT Mietwagenrundreisen Kuba Diese Versicherung deckt alle möglichen Schäden wie Brand, Unfall, Diebstahl, Naturkatastrophen, etc. des eigenen Fahrzeuges und eines an einem Unfall beteiligten ab. Nicht versichert sind Radio und Autoreifen. Bei Fahren von vertragsfremden Personen, sowie Fahren unter Alkohol oder Drogen, verfällt der Versicherungsschutz. Beachten Sie bitte, dass jeder Schaden zur Anzeige gebracht und von der Polizei protokolliert werden muss! Möchten Sie einen zweiten Fahrer des Mietwagens anmelden, so können Sie dies bei der Annahme des Mietwagens in den Vertrag mit einschließen. Kosten hierfür sind 3 CUC pro Tag für jeden zusätzlichen Fahrer (max. 2 Zusatzfahrer möglich).

Eine entsprechende Service-Telefonnummer erhalten Sie bei Annahme des Fahrzeugs. Diese Telefonnummer ist i.d.R. 24 Stunden besetzt. Tanken auf Cuba: Mittlerweile gibt es auf Kuba ein gut ausgebautes Netz von Tankstellen auf über 20.000 km geteerten Straßen. Trotzdem empfiehlt es sich, möglichst rechtzeitig zu tanken. Die Mietwagenagentur informiert Sie bei der Annahme Ihres Wagens, welches Benzin Sie tanken müssen. in der Regel ist dies „Gasolina especial“. Der Preis pro Liter liegt hierfür momentan bei etwa 1,30 CUC pro Liter (Stand Juni 2013).

Bedingungen zur Anmietung eines Autos: Ein europäischer Führerschein (mind. ein Jahr alt) ist ausreichend für die Anmietung eines Fahrzeuges auf Kuba. Ein internationaler Führerschein muss also nicht beantragt werden. Das Mindestalter des Fahrers muss 21 Jahre sein!

Verkehr In Kuba herrscht Rechtsverkehr und in der Regel kommt, bis auf die Großstädte, wenig Verkehr auf. Im ganzen Land ist auf allen Straßen auf Radfahrer zu achten. Nachts sollten Sie besonders vorsichtig fahren, da die Beleuchtung der Straßen teilweise sehr schlecht ist. Tiere auf der Fahrbahn können schnell zur Gefahr werden. Passen Sie ihr Tempo den vorhandenen Bedingungen an. Richtgeschwindigkeit auf den Autobahnen ist 100 km/h. Denken Sie bei Ihrer Routenplanung auch an teilweise nicht besonders gute und ausgebaute Straßen, insbesondere abseits der Hauptverkehrsstraßen. Planen Sie lieber etwas weniger Fahrstrecke pro Tag ein, denn unterwegs stößt man meist unverhofft auf Sehenswertes.

INFORMATIONSBLATT Mietwagenrundreisen Kuba KONDITIONEN DER MIETWAGENANMIETUNG CUBCACAR 1. The client is committed to pay the debits derived from the service given in the current contract. 2. The client acknowledges to have received the vehicle with good functioning conditions together with the accessories described in it and he/she is committed to return it with the same conditions it had when received an in the date specified at the moment it was rented, as well as, to pay the accessories and parts of the vehicle missing when delivering and that were not pointed as missing when it was received. 3. The duration of the rent is consigned in the contract and it is calculated based in hours and days since the moment it is signed, so it ought to be paid in the date and time agreed. If the client wants to lengthen the rent he/she must go to the nearest Cubacar´s office to legalize the tenancy f the vehicle. 4. The client will pay as deposit the amount agreed in the public Cubacar´s tariff for each kind of vehicle. If the deposit of guarantee is in form of blank charge warrant in the credit card, Cubacar has authorization to fill it and charge for it in any moment without prior notice for the amounts used by the client according to the clauses of this contract. 5. The client count on 59 minutes bonus, after that time, and until 5 hours there is a 1/5 bonus of daily tariff by each extra hour. 6. Cubacar only makes refunding to the signatory of the contract and with the same form of the rent´s payment. 7. The vehicle will only be driven by the client or the additional driver authorized under his/her responsibility. 8. The client and the authorized drivers must obey the current traffic resolutions, as well as not to exceed the limit of persons to be transported fixed for each kind of vehicle in the observe of the contract. 9. The client resigns to all lawsuit against Cubacar due to any accidental damage caused because of bad manipulation, failure to comply traffic or vehicle maintenance regulations. 10. Cubacar does not assumes responsibility of robbery, loss or damage of any good, personal property of the client or passengers, left or abandoned in the vehicle during or after the period of rent. 11. When decided, Cubacar will be able to cancel the contract and proceed to repay 100% of the time that was not used, unless what it is currently stated is being violated. 12. Cubacar exempts its client of responsibility, if the client obeys current contract´s regulations, protecting it against fire, partial or total robbery, crash or overturning, accidents, and natural disaster; as well as damage to other people´s property and/or injuries or death produced to other people, while driving along the public road. In all cases, the client must inform immediately to the competent authorities and present to the agency, before or after, the form ratifying that the loss or robbery was informed; and in the case of accidents, the report of the police officer on duty in that place or the inspectors of the enterprise, that will be used to prove guilt in case there is. If proven guilty, the client will pay the amount agreed in the obverse, if not proven guilty he/she will not pay any amount. The client will be covered during the valid period of the contract and if an accident occurs until hours after its expiration, with the correspondent legal requirement. 13. The client will lose all rights to be exempted of responsibility by Cubacar when incurring in irresponsible acts or violation of the current regulations and the ones agreed in this contract, as well as when driving the vehicle having ingested alcohol or psychotropic substance and its manipulation by a driver not authorized in this contract, for this reason a total amount should be paid because for the damages caused to vehicle and to other people, in case one of these violations are detected. 14. The client must take the vehicle to the nearest Agency before exceeding the amount o kilometers specified in the contract for maintenance as well as for checking oil, radiator water levels, and the tire´s air pressure. Any damage or stoppage caused to the vehicle due to the violation of this statement ought to be paid by the client.

If a violation to the speedometer is proven, the client must pay a drive equivalent to 200 km for each day or days´ fraction, the period of time that would possess, this fine will also be effective if the speedometer stops working and the client does not inform in time to the Rental Agency. 16. The client must obey the following: Do not use the vehicle to obtain profits, do not use it to pull other vehicle; do not overload it according to its resistance and/or capacity; to lock the vehicle when not inside it; do not take part in car races, endurance proofs, speed or aerobatics and do not transport inflammables, explosives, drugs or similar. 17. In case of damage, accident or other similar inconvenient the client must inform immediately to the nearest Agency, a well as to take measures to avoid damages, accidents or robbery. The client takes responsibility of the vehicle while it is under his/her possession through this contract. 18. If the client is not allowed to use the rented vehicle, will not have the right to demand the restitution of the rent, and he/she must pay the expenses for dismissed profit because of the stoppage of the vehicle and for the accidents caused. In the case the vehicle is confiscated he/she must pay to the Rental Agency. 19. The client can pay off all the amounts in any Agency of that Rental authorized to receive it, and must pay additionally, the return t the Agency that sent him/her based on the established drop off. 20. The client must use only super special gas. 21. The rent tariff, selling of fuel, additional Km, exceeding time of the rental service and return of the Rental office, is subjected to changes without previous notice. 22. Tow truck service is given free of charge by any Rental Agency, if the clients is not guilty. If the clients is not guilty. If the client is guilty he/she must pay for the service according to the tariffs defined by the enterprise. Any client´s negligence causing damage to the rented vehicle, must by paid to the Rental with the amount established in the penalty and damage supplements. 23. According to insurance conditions, there is a total coverage for all risks. Please note that wheels and music equipment are not insured. Information about the mandatory full risk insurance (with or without a certain amount of excess), which covers: - car damages caused by collision or fire - partial or total theft - damages caused to third persons (limit - see below) - damages to driver or other persons inside the vehicle. Third Party Insurance Coverage for rental cars in Cuba Legal limits for liable responsibility against damages to third party for any of the damages coverage: damages against damages to other people’s properties because of an accident, until 15.000,- CUC. Corporal injury or death of a person until 5.000,- CUC. Corporal Injury or death of more than one person as a result of an accident, subject to a limit per person of 5.000,- CUC but only until 25.000,- CUC in total. Optionally, clients can get an insurance which covers more than the offical third party insurance coverage. Please check with your own cars insurance, whether a rental car third party insurance is included. You will also get information at your official automobile club in your country.
