P REPARING FOR THE C ONSECRATION OF THE A RCHDIOCESE OF S AN F RANCISCO TO THE I MMACULATE H EART OF M ARY Part 14 IN THE JULY APPARITION, the children continued to be instructed in their vocation as victim souls, offering reparation for the sins of the world. Our Lady instructed them: “Make sacrifices for sinners, and say often, especially while making a sacrifice: O Jesus, this is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for offences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” After teaching them this manner of offering sacrifices, she showed the three little children a vision of Hell, where the souls of unrepentant sinners go when they die. In this, she was teaching them the urgency of offering their sacrifices for the conversion of sinners who would otherwise fall into eternal damnation. Lucia relates the vision: “As Our Lady spoke these words she opened her hands once more, as had during the two previous months. The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were a sea of fire. “Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now following back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. (It must have been this sight which caused me to cry out, as people say they heard me do). “The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals, terrified and as if to plead for succor, we looked up at Our Lady, who said to us, so kindly and so sadly: “ ‘You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. It is to save them that God wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved, and there will be peace.’ “ †

EN LA APARICIÓN DE JULIO, los niños continuaron a ser instruidos en su vocación como una alma víctima, ofreciendo reparación por los pecados del mundo. Nuestra Señora les instruyó: "Haced sacrificios por los pecadores, y decid muchas veces, especialmente mientras hacéis un sacrificio: Oh Jesús, esto es por amor a Ti, por la conversión de los pecadores y en reparación por los delitos cometidos contra el Inmaculado Corazón de María".

Después de enseñarles esta manera de ofrecer sacrificios, ella les mostró a los tres niños una visión del Infierno, donde van las almas de los pecadores no arrepentidos cuando ellos mueren. En esto, ella les estaba enseñando la urgencia de ofrecer sus sacrificios por la conversión de pecadores que de otra forma caerían en la condenación eterna. Lucía relata la visión: "Cuando Nuestra Señora pronunció estas palabras ella abrió las manos una vez más, como lo había hecho durante los dos meses anteriores. Los rayos de luz parecían penetrar la tierra, y nosotros vimos como un mar de fuego. En medio de este fuego se hallaban demonios y almas en forma humana, como brasas transparentes y quemadas, todo ennegrecido o bruñido en bronce, flotando sobre la conflagración, ahora levantada en el aire por las llamas que emanaban de sí mismas junto con grandes nubes de humo, ahora siguiendo de espaldas a cada lado como chispas en grandes fuegos, sin peso ni equilibrio, entre gritos y gemidos de dolor y desesperación, que nos horrorizaban y nos hacían temblar de miedo. (Debe haber sido esta visión que me hizo gritar, como dicen las personas que me oyeron hacer). Los demonios podían distinguirse por su aterradora y repelente semejanza con animales espantosos y desconocidos, negros y transparentes como carbones encendidos, aterrorizados y como para pedir socorro, miramos a Nuestra Señora, que nos dijo, tan amable y tan tristemente: 'Has visto el infierno, donde van las almas de los pobres pecadores. Es para salvarlos que Dios quiere establecer en el mundo la devoción a mi Inmaculado Corazón. Si haces lo que Yo te digo, muchas almas serán salvas, y entonces habrá paz.’ †
