GEIGER CUP (vs. Columbia and MIT) The Geiger Cup was placed in competition in 1956 in memory of Andy Geiger, the first athletic director at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), and is awarded to the winner of the varsity race with Cornell, Columbia and MIT. Through 2017, Cornell has won the Geiger Cup 37 times, Columbia has won 13 and MIT has won 12.
