The Ensemble’s makeup is taken from the tradition of wind and string writing in the 19th century; namely Schubert’s Octet and Beethoven’s Septet. In the Ensemble’s inaugural year, the group performed for enthusiastic audiences in the Lyrebird Music Society’s chamber music series, the Woodend Winter Arts Festival and in the Salon at Melbourne Recital Centre.

Melbourne Recital Centre acknowledges the people of the Kulin nation on whose land this concert is being presented.
