Sehr geehrte Juroren des PopCamp, die Band finalstair freut sich – nach Nominierung durch die AgenturMMM-Artist- Management – in den engeren Kreis für das Popcamp 2013 gewählt worden zu sein. Da wir uns intensiv auf eine professionelle Karriere als Rockband vorbereiten, würde dieser Meisterkurs für uns einen wichtigen Meilenstein bedeuten – in der künstlerischen wie persönlichen Entwicklung. Bandbio FINALSTAIR - in der klassischen formation voc./guit. (Istvan), bass (Denes) und drums (Felix) gründeten sich im Sommer 2010 und besetzt sich seit Ende November 2011 neu. Alle Bandmitglieder haben eins gemeinsam: Sie absolvierten renommierte Schulen Istvan und Denes die Music.Academy International in Nancy (Frankreich) sowie Felix die Popakademie Enschede in den Niederlanden. Felix sitzt an den Drums seit seinem 5. Lebensjahr und krönte seine bisherige Laufbahn mit dem 2. Platz bei den V-Drums World Championships der besten Newcomer-Drummer. Seine ersten Konzerte spielte er mit 8 Jahren. Seitdem hat Felix in mehreren Bands bei Cover und Gala-Projekten mitgewirkt, später Hip-Hop/Soul und Metal ausgelotet, um endlich im Rock seine Leidenschaft zu finden. Istvan und Denes begannen mit 13 ihren musikalischen Weg, trennten sich mit 16 für knapp zwei Jahre Richtung Frankreich und Schottland, vereinten sich dann wieder in Lothringen, um 2008 nach Berlin zurückzukehren. Ohne klar definierte musikalische Ausrichtung schlugen erste Konzerte und Studiobesuche nicht in den gewünschten Erfolg um. Das sollte sich im Herbst 2011 ändern, als nach einer selbst produzierten EP und dem gerade eingespielten Videoclip zu „Catwalk“ Felix zur Band stieß. Ob im Studio oder on Stage - finalstair geht seitdem mit Rock Alternative neue Wege und das konsequent nur mit eigenen Kompositionen. Davon zeugt das aktuelle live-set mit mehr als zwei Dutzend dynamischer Songs, geprägt von atmosphärischen Elementen des post-rock. Die neue musikalische Ausrichtung soll vor allem live zurück zu den handwerklichen Wurzeln des Genres der 80er und vor allem 70er führen sowie eine Kluft zwischen Studio und Bühne gar nicht erst aufkommen lassen. Der bisherige Höhepunkt des kreativen Schaffens ist das Debutalbum „Sleeping Pilot“, das im „mixberlin“ auch selbst produziert wurde und in den nächsten Tagen offiziell auf den Markt kommt. Zu Beginn 2013 war eine wichtige Weichenstellung überreif: Die Suche nach einem professionellen Management brachte finalstair und die AgenturMMM-Artist-Management zusammen. Den Ausschlag dafür gab auf Bandseite das innovative und mehrfach ausgezeichnete Promotion-Konzept des Teams um Jochen Ringl, die Agentur zeigte sich von der Harmonie und Vielfalt des Debutalbums beeindruckt. Erste Zeichen sind bereits mit den Nominierungen für das „Popcamp – Meisterkurs populäre Musik des Deutschen Musikrates“ sowie den „Deutschen Rock und Pop Preis“ gesetzt. Bisher hat die Band als support von SIX und Andrew W. K. oder in Berliner Locations wie ckenbackers bei der stetig wachsenden Fangemeinde mehr und mehr eine subtile Gewißheit hinterlassen: Nach der rasanten Entwicklung der letzten Monate darf von den drei Berlinern mit jeder Menge an kreativem und musikalischem Potenzial gerechnet werden. Presseinfo Die Berliner Newcomer-Band „finalstair“ begeistert mit ihrem gradlinig rockigen Sound In ihrer jetzigen, klassischen Dreier-Formation spielen die Vollblutmusiker seit November 2011: Sänger Istvan Vörös an der Gitarre, Denes Vörös am Bass und Felix Kerkhoff an den Drums. Zurzeit sind „finalstair“ mit ihrer puristischen, dem Sound der 70er Jahre angelehnten Musik in den angesagten Clubs von Berlin zu hören. Gradlinig und reduziert auf das, was gute Rockmusik ausmacht, sowie eher bescheiden und mit Understatement rocken sie die Bühnen der Hauptstadt. Mit einem Stil, bei dem allein das musikalische Können zählt - ohne aufwändige Effekthascherei oder pompöse Showeinlagen. Ihre Musik entspringt rein dem Gefühl; allen voran dem des kreativen Frontmanns Istvan Vörös. Die harmonischen und melodiösen Songs von „finalstair“ sind zu Musik gewordene Emotionen. Die längeren Bridges (musikalische Abwandlungen der eigentlichen Melodie), die viele ihrer Songs kennzeichnen, gehören mittlerweile zum Markenzeichen der Berliner Band und zeugen von der musikalischen Virtuosität der professionell ausgebildeten Musiker. In diesem Jahr – unter dem Management von AgenturMMM-Artist-Management – wollen die drei Mittzwanziger die großen Bühnen Deutschlands stürmen. Für ihr Debütalbum „Sleeping Pilot“ arrangierten und produzierten sie alle Songs selbst. Die CD ist eingespielt und wird demnächst an allen üblichen Stores erhältlich sein. Das Album soll „finalstair“ auf die „letzte Stufe“ zum Erfolg hieven – mit einfach guter Rockmusik.
