QUICK HITTERS Tonight’s game between UW-Stevens Point and Albion is the third-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron and the Pointers have won both previous meetings. The teams first met on Sept. 25, 2010 with UW-Stevens Point winning 55-14 at Community Stadium at Goerke Park. The 55 points scored was the highest output by the Pointers in the last four seasons. UW-Stevens Point jumped out to a 21-0 lead after one quarter and Anthony Aker and Jared Jenkins, now assistant coaches on the UWSP staff, each caught touchdowns in the game. The following year, the Pointers topped the Britons 14-3 in Albion on Sept. 24. The UWSP defense limited Albion to 51 yards on 25 carries, as Keith Ingram and Cory Flisakowski scored the only two touchdowns of the game.
