Wednesday, July 5, 2017 Dear Parents/Guardians, Another school year has come to an end, and the summer is the perfect time to reflect on what we have accomplished this past school year, as well as enjoy the warm weather and keep our reading skills sharpened with some summer reading. I have composed a list of book titles for our incoming Kindergarteners to soon-to-be Eighth Graders. The books on this list are suggested titles that suit all reading levels within each grade. In order to make reading a part of your child's daily routine, it is recommended that you set a quiet time each day for quality family reading. This can be accomplished first thing in the morning after breakfast, bedtime or if you're traveling this summer through your digital device. Whatever the time you choose, it's always a good time to read! You never know when you find yourself lost in your books! Otro afio escolar ha llegado a su fin, y el verano es el momento perfecto para reflexionar sobre lo que hemos logrado este pasado aii.o escolar, asi como disfrutar del clima calido y mantener nuestras capacidades de lectura afiladas con algunas lecturas de verano. He compuesto una lista de titulos de libros para nuestro Kinder entrante a pronto-a-ser estudiantes de octavo grado. Los libros en esta lista son titulos sugeridos que se adapten a todos los niveles de lectura dentro de cada grado. Con el fin de hacer de la lectura una parte de la rutina diaria de su hijo, es aconsejable establecer un tiempo de silencio cada dia para la familia de la calidad de la lectura. Esto se puede lograr lo primero en la mafiana despues del desayuno, hora de acostarse o si va a viajar este verano a traves de su dispositivo digital. Cualquiera que sea el tiempo que elija, siempre es un buen momento para leer! Nunca sabes cuando te encuentres perdido en tus libros!
